How to get your Alpaca paper API keys
1. Create a free account at alpaca.markets (no credit card needed for paper trading)
2. Go to Paper Trading in the left sidebar of your Alpaca dashboard
3. Click "Your API Keys" → Generate New Key
4. Copy both values — the Key ID (starts with PK…) and the Secret Key (shown once)
5. Paste them above and click "Test Connection" before saving
